Road | Gravel | Sneaky Overnighters | Multi-day Adventures
Last week Daisy and I went on a short bush walk with some of the beautiful tamariki from her Kohanga. A kereru flew overhead and landed on a spindly branch high above. On landing, a gust of wind swept through the canopy and the kereru, gripping the branch, was tossed about. The tamariki swayed in time with the bird and watched in awe. "Woooooah, woooooah, wooooah" they chanted with every gust, willing the kereru to kia kaha and not let go! The tamariki didn't want to stop watching the kereru.
Four months has passed since our wee girl, Daisy, wriggled her way into the world. It was quite a long journey full of adventure. Overcome with curiosity, she went sight-seeing on her way out, getting herself a little lost before eventually emerging some 2 1/2 days after her journey began. Some wonderful people helped her on her journey.
Spring sunshine and light mornings - this speaks to me! It's so easy to be up again not too long after 6am (possibly because I am generally asleep by 9:30pm) and this morning it was the perfect weather for a wee soiree on the bicicleta.
